if you plan to attend the meeting dinner at Klondike Kate's on Friday,
March 23, 6-9 p.m. Klondike
Kate's is a favorite local place that should provide a pleasant location
for conversation, drinks and dinner. This dinner will be FREE (included
in the meeting registration fee of $30).
For general travel information, including maps of the campus,
the town of Newark, the area and the state of Delaware, look at the Bartol

page. Wednesday-Friday, Mar. 21-23 the meeting will be in room 209/211
of the Trabant Student Center. Saturday-Sunday, March 24-25 it will
be in Sharp Lab 131 (and 120). This is the building that houses Bartol
and the Department of Physics and Astronomy and is where the SAGENAP practice
sessions were held last March.
Motel information: Blocks of room have been reserved at Sleep
Inn and Howard Johnson Motel. Mention that you are registering as
part of the AMANDA group. Note deadline for both
hotels was March 6th! Both hotels are about 2 mi (3 km) down the
street from Bartol (located in Sharp Lab, at intersection of S. College
Dr. and Delaware Ave., with the Trabant Student Center on the opposite
corner.). The Sleep Inn is a bit closer (and newer), though the Howard
Johnson offers a free shuttle ride to and from Bartol.
Sleep Inn: 20 rooms at $60 per night (double occupancy). Deadline

Comfort Inn: no rooms reserved, but feel free to call if the above options

Transportation
information at UD. There is a local, free bus service that runs
between the motel area and the central campus, but campus buses will be
likely be unavailable on the weekend because it's the beginning of Spring
Break.
Airport information for PHL
(nearest airport, 35 min away) or BWI
(sometimes cheaper, but 1 hr 25 min away).
Computer access will be available in Sharp Lab for those
who need internet connections, printing facilities, etc. Note these computers
are also used by other students now and then on a first-come/first-served
basis, so please be courteous. There should be at least 25 terminals available
spread among 3 computing rooms, plus a few extra connections for those
with laptops.
